FAQ
Short answers for athletes, parents/guardians, and coaches.
Do coaches need Clip2Commit accounts?
No. Coaches receive materials from the family through normal channels such as email, video links, recruiting profile links, or social posts that the family publishes manually. Coaches receive materials from the family, not a Clip2Commit login. The Coach Follow-Up Tracker helps families keep coach contact notes, preferred status, and follow-up reminders organized without sending anything automatically; it is not a coach login portal.

What does a coach receive?
A family can prepare a cleaner clip package with the athlete name, sport, position, school or team, class year, a short family-reviewed note, and links or captions they choose to share. Clip2Commit does not contact coaches automatically.

Can athletes use Clip2Commit too?
Yes. Athlete-facing examples show how a raw clip can become a clearer package with context attached, and athletes can join the waitlist with name and email only. For youth profiles, parent/guardian review remains part of the product workflow before sharing.
What does an athlete get from Clip2Commit?
Athletes get a cleaner way to show one moment: the clip, sport, position, class year, school or team, and reviewed notes stay together. The goal is easier review and clearer context before anything is emailed, posted, or sent to a coach; it is not a promise of exposure, responses, or offers.
What is a Player Card?
A Player Card is a family-controlled athlete profile that can organize sport, position, class year, school/team, academic fields, key stats, family-approved notes, and highlight playlists in one place.
How do highlight playlists work?
Families can group clips into named playlists such as Best Plays, Skill Drill, or Full Game Context. Demo playlists use sample data; real sharing remains controlled by the family.
What is Recruiting Readiness?
Recruiting Readiness is a checklist-style progress indicator for profile, clip, consent, and export preparation. It is not a scouting grade, endorsement, ranking, or guarantee of recruiting results.
Does Clip2Commit track who views my profile?
Planned analytics are private family reference metrics, such as profile views, playlist views, export downloads, and readiness changes. They are not shown to coaches by default and do not prove coach interest.
How do I export my video?
The manual export kit prepares the download, title, caption, description, and checklist text. You still post, email, text, or upload from your own account on the destination platform.
What can athletes and families inspect before joining?
Start with the before/after athlete clip and the sample portal demo. They use sample data only and show the 30-second clip workflow, coach-ready package preview, and manual review steps before anyone joins the waitlist.
What can skeptical parents/guardians verify first?
Review the sample portal demo, the before/after athlete clip, the security status snapshot, and the structured delete account and refund request pages before sending sensitive information. The public waitlist starts with name and email, public forms warn against sending full game film or private documents, and Clip2Commit does not auto-send messages or auto-post.

Do you publish testimonials or coach quotes?
Not yet. Current public proof is limited to sample demos, before/after clip examples, and status pages. Clip2Commit will only publish athlete, parent/guardian, or coach testimonials after permission is recorded and the quote can be reviewed for accuracy.

Can parents/guardians use Clip2Commit for younger athletes?
Yes. The planning default is parent/guardian-managed youth mode, where an adult manages the athlete profile, clips, draft packages, and review steps. Child self-registration, public posting, SMS, and broad sharing require attorney review before release.
Is Clip2Commit ready for under-13 self-registration?
No. Under-13 self-registration, public youth profiles, automated outreach, SMS, broad sharing, retention rules, parental-consent records, and takedown handling are still blocked until attorney review and product controls are complete. Public pages use sample athlete data only.
Does Clip2Commit send messages or post automatically?
No. Clip2Commit is designed as a draft-first workflow. Sending, posting, or sharing requires a human decision outside Clip2Commit unless a future official connector is separately reviewed and approved.

Does Clip2Commit guarantee recruiting results?
No. Clip2Commit helps organize film and prepare outreach drafts. It does not guarantee scholarships, offers, roster spots, coach responses, NIL deals, exposure, rankings, or recruiting outcomes.

What should I avoid sending through public forms or email?
Please do not send full game film, private athlete documents, medical details, school records, passwords, payment information, or sensitive minor data through public forms or email.
How do I get help?
Use the structured support form first. It records a review request and returns a review ID; it does not send messages, change accounts, issue refunds, delete data, or contact third parties automatically. Email support is available only as a fallback.
